Mission Statement

Habitat Architecture is a Chartered Architectural Technology practice based at Ribble Court, Shuttleworth Mead Business Park in Padiham, Lancashire, working with homeowners, landowners and developers across the North West.

We specialise in the design of thoughtfully considered homes, extensions, rural buildings and landscape-led residential projects. Our work brings together architectural design, technical knowledge, planning experience and practical construction understanding to create buildings that are beautiful, buildable and suited to the way people actually live.

Led by Roger Hines, Chartered Architectural Technologist, Habitat Architecture offers a personal and practical design service from early feasibility and concept design through to planning applications, Building Regulations packages and technical documentation.

With a background in construction, landscape design and architectural technology, the practice takes a joined-up approach to every project, considering the building, the landscape, the planning context and the realities of construction from the outset.

Our focus is on clear advice, careful design and well-resolved projects that feel at home in their setting and stand the test of time.

Former Builder, Landscape & Garden Designer and Chartered Architectural Technologist and overall adrenaline junky.

Roger's superpower is his understanding of construction, combined with his architectural design knowledge, add Roger's understanding of landscape design and there you have it, a complete holistic approach to design!
